The future is here.
We’re ready to provide it.
Our powerful OnTech partnership brings limitless possibilities!
Our elite technician work force truly is what defines our company.
Today, with the help of the OnTech Service Platform, we are able to go well beyond our traditional dish/satellite television offerings. Our exceptionally talented technicians are now bringing the Connected Smart Home to homes big and small, all across the Southeast.
In early 2019, DISH saw the opportunity to become a one-stop-shop for all smart home labor fulfillment nationwide and started to pursue partnerships that would enable them to successfully launch this new and transformative venture. This new business model positions DISH for long-term success by strategically diversifying their service offerings across an industry that’s primed for continued growth.
OnTech was first launched by SUI in November 2019, with a work order created for Danny McKinney’s home. The McKinneys opened their door to find a GM, several FSMs, Chris Guest and myself, all trying to figure out everything we could about WO flow and requirements for successful completion of these new WO types. Birmingham technician Grayling Freeman did a fantastic job taking care of the McKinneys that day and even up-sold Danny an outdoor camera as well as a temperature sensor.
OnTech started off by partnering with Amazon Ring and Google Nest, since DISH already had a limited partnership with these major corporations. Services and products include Thermostats, In/Outdoor cameras, Doorbells, Door Locks and Spotlight Cameras. It quickly became evident that our exceptional techs were able to learn and adapt to these new technologies much faster than anticipated. Because of how we performed early on by taking care of our customers, reflective in our 4.9 Google Star rating, OnTech was able to partner with WeBoost in April of this year to offer full home installs of their most popular Residential Cell Phone Boost technologies.
Only a few months later, in July, Google made a huge announcement to reward our early successes with Nest Installs and WOW’ing our customers by rewarding OnTech Smart Home Services with an exclusive partnership. Previously, Google used a network of close to 2,000 separate Nest Pro Contractors to install their smart home products. Google signed an exclusive contract for all product offerings to be installed by only one nationwide partner, OnTech. Now, customers who shop for smart home devices on the Google website are seamlessly integrated into scheduling OnTech for their product installation.
But it did not stop there. Only a few weeks later, OnTech announced new partnerships with smart home brands like Ecobee, Kasa, Arlo, August, Lockly and SimpliSafe. One of the newest projects nearing completion is a partnership with QuickenLoans, offering the installation of a full home automation setup prior to the new home owners move-in date.
The opportunities for OnTech to provide value in the smart home industry are truly endless!
